Hi and thanks for visiting my website.  I created this site to serve two purposes.
First, as a tool to market my
career as a business systems professional.  Second,
the site will help keep my
family which is spread between Texas, California and
Tennessee, up-to-date with one another.

I have included some general information about myself as well for those who just
stumble across the site and want to know more.

My wife and I live in the Steiner Ranch community in Austin, Texas.  I have three
daughters(two near Austin and one in Foster City, CA,  two sons-in-law and two
grandsons(one of each in Austin and Foster City).  More about them on the
Family
page
.

Our home is very comfortable, quiet and, although it is only eight years old, it's full of
projects.  Some are minor things to be fixed and/or updated and lots of improvement
projects.  I love projects, especially those that allow me to get creative.  I am a
problem solver at heart.   Continuous Improvement is in my soul.  When I see a
problem, a new product or a new technology, I automatically start thinking about a
solution or how the technology could be improved or put to use.  It just happens, I
can't not do it.  Read More

IS Professional
I worked my way up to being the Manager of Information Systems for
Laserscope in San Jose, CA.   In this capacity, I led the IS team through a
very rapid period of improvement to recover from a very austere period
when we had to make the best of what we had.  During this recovery
period, we implemented the Oracle e-Business suite, replaced the entire
data center and the network of MS servers and all the 200+ laptops and
desktops that were in use.  We also implemented Barracuda Spam filtration
and Panda Internet Security.  During this time, we also managed the
business as usual, keeping our old legacy systems (HP3000, AS400) and the
Oracle Data Warehouse alive, continuously generating new reports and
performing Month-End closes, etc.

Entrepreneur
My two forays into entrepreneurship could not have been more different.

The first was
Encover in 2000.  We formed Encover to create the world's
first web-based system for managing service contract sales and renewals.
More on my experience with Encover to come.

The second was Molalo Corp in 2006.  We formed Molalo to create a series
of
Maui Wowi Coffee and Smoothie retail operations.   More on my experience with
Molalo to come.
